Examinations and assessments are an important aspect of school life, and help us gain a better understanding of how to support each individual child.

Performance Measures;

• Progress 8 score: +0.34 (above average)
• Attainment in English and maths - percentage of pupils achieving a grade 4 or above in GCSE English and maths: (English 85% Maths 78%) 
• Attainment in English and maths - percentage of pupils achieving a grade 5 or above in GCSE English and maths: (English 74.4% Maths 46%) 
• Attainment 8 score: 50.59
• English Baccalaureate (EBacc) average point score (APS): 4.75
• Percentage of pupils that enter the English Baccalaureate (EBacc): 52%

Sixth form

• Average point score per A level entry expressed as a grade: D-
• Average point score per applied general entry expressed as a vocational grade: Merit+
• Retention from Y12 into Y13 is 96%

All pupils undertaking formal examinations are required to read the ‘Notice to Candidates’ documents published each year by the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ), who set the rules and regulations for the seven largest examining bodies in the UK.
